Lakers vs Celtics; Who has the best franchise

THE LAKERS:

-68 years in the league

-60 playoff appearances

-3,227 wins

-2,101 losses

-.606 winning%

-32 division titles

-18 conference titles

-16 championships

THE CELTICS:

-70 years in the league

-51 playoff appearances

-3,193 wins

-2,242 losses

-.587 winning%

-30 division titles

-9 conference titles

-17 championships

SUMMARY: Even Though The Lakers have 2 less years in the league, They have won more games, have had more playoff appearances, have a higher winning percentage, have more division titles, more conference titles. All the while having less losses. Yes The Celtics have 1 more championship but The Celtics have also missed the playoffs 17 TIMES!!! (compared to The Lakers 8). Not to mentions that The Lakers have won most of their titles in the "modern era" Since 1970 The Lakers have won 11 Championships to The Celtics 6. And since 1980 The Lakers have won 10 Championships to The Celtics 4. With The Lakers winning 3 out the 5 head to head Finals matchups since then. The bottom line is that The Lakers have been the most consistent franchise throughout the existence of The NBA. The Lakers are the ONLY team that has been to a NBA Final in EVERY decade since the 1940's!!

P.s. A little unknown Laker trivia: The Lakers actually have a "17th" Championship. They won The 1948 NBL Championship a year before joining The NBA.

THE NBL: Founded in 1937, the National Basketball League (NBL) was a professional men's basketball league in the United States. The league would later dissolve and some of its teams would be absorbed into the Basketball Association of America (BAA) to form the National Basketball Association (NBA) in 1949.

That's why I am somewhat patient sitting through a 3rd miserable season. 27-55, 21-61, now 9-32 but my fandom rises above everything because of our past and eventually we will get this thing turn around. Ken called it this season too but I really thought we would at least win 30 games and maybe even be around .500. I think I expected too much out of Russell from the get go and thought Hibbert would be reborn again with the change of scenery and play like he did in 2013 when he had something to prove. I also thought Randle would be really good Offensively but he hasn't been. I needed a lot of things to go my way this season for us to win 30+ and about everything to go perfect to be 41-41 like I picked. Really the only players that have played Good are Clarkson, Lou Williams, and Nance. Pretty much everyone else has been Average to Bad/inconsistent anyway. Kobe has had his ok moments but nothing mindblowing like some 40 point games for example. I thought maybe he would be able to muster up at least a few of those, so far he has 0. Since I have been born the Lakers have won 11 Championships to the Celtics 6. I don't remember 1972 because I was just a baby but I have witnessed all the rest since the 70's. I still think 1988 is my favorite if I had to choose just 1, choosing 1 is nearly impossible but if someone put me on the spot and I had to pick 1 it would be 1988. The teams we beat that season in Utah, Dallas, and Detroit were all stacked with Great athlete's and high IQ players + nobody had Repeated in 20 seasons until we did that season. I was a Junior in highschool then as well and had no worries. I was healthy, young, and pretty popular. It was just a great time in my life period.
4 best Titles- 1988 Repeat Lakers/2002 3Peat Lakers/2006 Colts/2016 Cubs
